The Cisco 3300 Series Mobility Services Engine is an appliance-based platform for delivering mobility services in a centralized and scalable fashion across wired and wireless networks. The Mobility Services Engine supports an open API for easy integration with enterprise and mobile applications, as well as the development of industry-relevant services. The Mobility Services Engine currently supports:

• Cisco Context-Aware Software that provides real-time network visibility and asset management for Wi-Fi clients, tagged assets, and wired devices. Organizations gain critical business intelligence to improve workflow, troubleshoot mobile clients, and quickly locate rogue devices and interferers.
• Cisco Adaptive Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) Software which detects and reports on the full range of 802.11 attacks, providing advanced forensics for threat analysis and prevention. Customers can maintain constant awareness of their RF environment to minimize legal liability, protect brand reputation, and assure regulatory compliance-including PCI 2.0 standards.

This platform also provides:

• Intelligence within the network to solve business problems, and the flexibility to provide for evolving needs
• Integration with Cisco CleanAir Technology which enables crucial forensics and policy enforcement capabilities to create a self-healing, self-optimizing network
• An open API based on Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and XML for enterprise and mobile application development with a broad partner ecosystem
